Burke County’s largest non-government employer, Blue Ridge HealthCare [BRHC] is the cornerstone of healthcare delivery in the community. The private, not-for-profit system includes two hospitals, two long term care/rehabilitation centers, a home health company, the area’s largest freestanding wellness center, and a full service retirement community. Physicians in BRHC practices are part of more than 150 physicians serving on the medical staffs at the two hospitals.
